Job Title: Operations/Facilities Manager II

1. Organization and Purpose
The purpose of the Operations/Facilities Manager II is to assure the effective functioning of the parish while providing an efficient and safe working environment for employees, volunteers and their activities by using best business practices to manage resources, services and processes to meet the needs of the St Timothy Catholic Church.
2. Scope and Impact
The Operations/Facilities Manager II will closely support the pastor to help ensure that organizations operate efficiently by expertly planning and directing parish operations and building-related services.
3. Essential Functions

Administrative Duties
• Manage day-to-day activity of the parish office, including answering phones, calendaring, publishing the bulletin, etc.
• Act as main representative of the parish with the Archdiocese and other parishes
• Attend council and volunteer meetings as needed or requested by the pastor
• Oversee and manage volunteer levels, volunteers and volunteer organizations
• Oversee and manage the fundraising process
• Oversee and manage parish projects
Finance Duties
• Partner with the parish accountant to forecast annual expenses and purchases
• Maintain ongoing and rolling records of parish funds, including parish collections
• Manage vendor, supplier, and contractor relationships, including contract negotiating for cost-effective solutions
Property Duties
• Allocate and manage facility space for maximum efficiency
• Ensure compliance with facilities management and health and safety protocols
• Shared responsibility of responding to and communicating alarms and/or system failures
• Manage facilities and rental agreements of parish buildings and resources
• Act as liaison to the school regarding parish grounds and resources
4. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Exemplifies and upholds Catholic doctrines and teachings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English).
• Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented.
• Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks.
• Strong team player/customer service with ability to work independently as well as collaborate with internal and external contacts.
• Computer fluency: data base, word procession, etc.
• Working knowledge of project management and business administration
• Supervisory experience
• Ability to create long range plan and manage the daily details of implementation
• Must be able to maintain regular and consistent attendance. Reports to work on time, maintains a stable work attendance record, and completes employee timesheets in a timely and accurate fashion.
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations is a plus though not required
Education/Experience Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Operational Management, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Communication, or Management or at least 2-3 years relevant experience

Must be able to:
• Use strength to lift items needed to perform the functions of the job.
• Sit, stand and walk for required periods of time.
• Speak and hear.
• Use close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception along with the ability to focus vision.
• Reach with hands and arms and use hands and fingers to handle objects and operate tools, technology equipment, computers, and/or controls.
• Work under pressure of meeting multiple demands and deadlines.
Language Skills
• Must possess good oral and written English language skills. Can demonstrate the ability to understand and follow complex oral and written instructions; an ability to write legibly.
• Effectively communicate in Spanish is a plus though not required.
