Department of Catholic Schools holds annual Opening Administrators Conference and Mass

On Monday, August 12, presidents and principles from Archdiocesan preschools, elementary schools,  and high schools as well as their pastors gathered at the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption in San Francisco for the annual Opening Administrators Conference and Mass, hosted by the Department of Catholic Schools.

This year’s event was different in that it was the first time the group was able to come together with the new Superintendent of Schools, Chris Fisher, and the new Associate Superintendent of Elementary Schools, Angela Johnson, Ed.D., who shared their vision for Catholic education in the Archdiocese of San Francisco.

Following morning presentations, the administrators joined Archbishop Salvatore J. Cordileone for Mass in the Cathedral where he spoke on the importance of Catholic education and encouraged the group in their mission to form students in the Catholic faith.

Following Mass, awards were given out for years of service including several for five and ten years.
