The Family of God as Covenant

This lecture series will cover the six covenants God made with his people as found in Sacred Scripture. I will share scriptural insights and well as Catholic tradition in opening the history of salvation, God's plan for his people. Five of the covenants God made with the nation of Israel. Five are unconditional in design. That is, regardless of Israel's obedience or disobedience, God still will fulfill these covenants with the nation of Israel. One of the covenants is conditional in nature. That is, this covenant will bring either blessing or cursing depending on Israel's obedience or disobedience. The final and eternal covenant is made and ratified in the blood of God's only begotten son, Jesus Christ, opening the Kingdom of God to the faithful.

The weekly schedule is as follows:
Tuesday, March 8 - Adamic (Edenic) Covenant
Tuesday, March, 15 - Noahic Covenant
Tuesday, March 22 — Abrahamic Covenant
Tuesday, March 29— Mosaic (Sinaitic) Covenant
Tuesday, April 5 — Davidic Covenant
Tuesday, April 12 — Eternal Covenant of Jesus Christ, Lord and Savior

Fr. Gregory Heidenblut, O.S.A., DD an Augustinian priest and Director of Continuing Education for Priest in the Archdiocese of San Francisco, will provide a lecture series during the season of Lent 2022.
