Don’t miss the Simbang Gabi novena of Masses at Saint Augustine Church, December 15-23 at 7PM and December 16-24 at 6AM! We are blessed to have guest priests joining the Saint Augustine clergy in the celebration of Simbang Gabi Masses. For those unable to attend the early morning Mass at 6:00 AM, an evening Mass at 7:00 PM will be available. There will be a “Hospitality” following the first and last evening masses and daily after the early dawn masses. Hospitality after Mass is an effective way to build a community of faith and make Simbang Gabi a meaningful parish celebration at Saint Augustine. In a special way, this year’s Simbang Gabi celebration commemorates the 500 Years of Christianity in the Philippines. The quincentennial celebration theme, “Gifted to Give,”
inspires gratitude for the gift of faith and the responsibility of sharing that faith. The Simbang Gabi novena of Masses became one of the most loved and cherished traditions in all parts of the Philippines and was brought to the United States and other countries by Filipino immigrants. Today, the Filipino diaspora are now considered the "modern-day missionaries of the world." For additional information, please visit www.staugustinessf.org
